Lucic returns home tonight when the Bruins face off against the Vancouver Canucks. Lucic grew up in East Vancouver and even played his junior hockey with the Vancouver Giants, winning the Memorial Cup and tourney MVP with the team in 2007. The hometown boy now roles into town with a new team and a new hype. Hopefully this is just another reason for Milan to continue his incredible recent play.
GAME QUICK HITS:
- The B's are searching for their third straight win tonight in Vancouver and look to continue to improve in all aspects of their game.
- Last night saw the first solid goaltending performance of the season as Tim Thomas stoned the Edmonton Oilers to earn a shutout victory in OT. It has yet to been announced if Thomas will get another shot to repeat tonight but things are starting to look better in the crease in Boston lately with great showings from both Timmy T and Fernandez
- The teams captain Big Z is finally looking comfortable on the ice and seems set on playing position. Only took about nine games but it couldn't have came any sooner.
- AXELSSON! P.J. has been on fire lately being involved in every play when he hits the ice. His back checking and offensive looks last night made him my player of the game in Edmonton.
- Has anyone seen Marco Sturm? If so please call Claude Julien at 555-4TH-LINE.
- Micheal Ryder is still looking for the back of the net. Can't the guy just get a little luck one of these times, especially with all the chances he has got up to tonight.
- Canucks 2-0 at home this season. Does this really mean anything?
In other news though, Glen Murray looks to be all done. The forgotten Bruin buyout is undergoing ankle surgery for an injury suffered while trying to stay in shape in the hopes of being picked up by a team this season. Well Murray, haven't the last few seasons meant anything to you? You sat around and slowly glided into position the last two years with the B's and now you actually try to skate? Hope your happy...
